VGA: Video Graphics Array. This is the analog input for your computer monitor. All video cards and monitors support this interface. Unlike digital audio or video, there is no advantage in using one interface over the other. There is not notice an improvement in quality using the digital interface over the analog one or vice-versa. The term is also used for graphics adapters that support 256 colors on-screen.

Virus: Software that requires a host program and adversely affects your computer. The effect can be as a simple as an annoyance to as great as paralyzing an entire network. No virus can destroy hardware. However, viruses can destroy all your data, can clog up a network in various ways (thus paralyzing it), and various other things. Virus always have ways of duplicating themselves and spreading. Since viruses require a host program, they are less common than computer worms.

Volatile: Something that loses its state after a power loss.
