Standard hourly rate is $50 per hour for all customers. Please note: Due to rise in gas prices, residental on-site work is now $50 per hour effective June 1, 2008. We hope to return to $40 per hour for residental on-site work as soon as possible. Charges begin only when we arrive at your home or office. Thank you for business.

Diagnose problems: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: 1+ hours)
So your computer is misbehaving, and you have no idea what it could be. We'll find it or you don't pay. But, at least you'll know what step to take next. And if the problem cannot be fixed, we'll knock 50% off our fee.

General service fee: Hourly Rate

General hardware install/replace: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: 1 hour)
This includes a new disk drive, video card, sound card, anything that can plug into the computer, memory, or anything hardware related except for the CPU. If you are looking for the fastest, cheapest, best way to increase performance, more memory is the answer. If you are looking for a lot better graphics in your games, a newer video card and a sound card are the answers.

CPU Swap: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: 1 hour)
This service is not recommended unless you are upgrading to a dual-core or 64-bit CPU. The costs and difficulties in finding a compatible CPU makes this service rarely worth it. If you can upgrade to a dual-core or 64-bit CPU, you will notice huge performance gains; everyone else will only notice minor gains.

New PC setup/optimize: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: 1 hour)
So you paid $2000 for a computer, and now you don't know what to plug in where. Or, worse, when you start the computer, there are 2000 programs installed that you don't want or need taking up space and making everything harder to find. Don't vent your anger, let us cut the fat and leave you with a svelte machine.

Video game setup: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: 1 hour)
You just got a video game console, and you don't know where to begin. You need to connect it to your network, but don't know how. If you have a XBox 360, you don't know how to share music and pictures from your computer with the console. We can do all do that to make sure you have a great video game experience.

Residential Wireless Network setup: $125
(Approximate time: 1-3 hours)
You want to share your printers or internet connection, but you don't want to crawl under the house or in a hot attic and then attempt to run wires. A wireless network is for you. We'll secure your network, share all your printers, and your XBox 360, Playstation 3, or Wii. Please remember that a wireless network can be much slower than a wired connection.

Commercial Wireless Network setup: $125
(Approximate time: 30 minutes per device)
This is for offices that want set up and share internet connection over wireless between any computer, printer, media player, or any device at all. We make sure each device is set up to be connected to your entire network and we'll make sure it is secured. The first three devices that connect to the network are included in the price. Any device beyond that is $25 each. To share the printer is shared between your WiFi devices computers is $50 per printer. This fee does not include connecting the printer to the wireless network if applicable. Hardware costs are extra. Typical range of our commercial WiFi devices is 500 feet. If a public WiFi access point is also desired, it is recommended that a seperate WiFi device be used so that your personal data is secured when travelling over the air. Securing your computers from public access is also extra.

Internet phone setup: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: 1+ hours)
So, the Vonage commercial deceived you and you can't figure out how to get it up and running. Or maybe you don't have time to mess with it. Or maybe you don't know anything about it and don't know what to do. In any event, we'll get your new phone working and dialing in no time. Requires a high-speed internet connection from either the cable or phone company.

Custom built PC: call
We guarantee you nobody will make a better computer, dollar for dollar. Furthermore, you'll get only what you want and can afford. If you like, we can gut your current computer and reuse some of the parts and software to save you money. Of course, it is all about what you want. All new PC's come with a 1 year warrantee, except when overclocking. A non-refundable 10% deposit is required. Build time is approximately 5 to 6 days, 3 of which are business days for shipping. In order to save you money and so that we don't push anything you don't want or need, no parts are ordered until you want your PC. PC prices are very volatile and may increase or decrease rapidly.

Operating System install (no software re-installed): $100
(Approximate time: 2+ hours)
This service is just re-installing your OS. We let you re-install all your software. We let you copy over your documents and files. We let you update and install your drivers. We install Windows only. This service is useful if you want a new or fresh copy of Windows because spyware or viruses destroyed your Windows or are installing a new hard drive. This covers returning the system to a factory default state, if possible.

Operating System install/re-install/fix: $175
(Approximate time: 4+ hours)
A more complete service. Now we copy your old files back over. We also re-install all your old programs. If you have an internet connection, we will download and install all new drivers. This covers returning the system to a factory default state, if possible, and re-installing all your old software.

Software install: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: <1 hour ea.)
Any program that you buy and need someone to get it up and running except an Operating System. The price is per title, but combination discounts will apply. For instance, the first title is $50, the second is $25, third $25, and so on.

Data migration (full hard drive): $100
(Approximate time: 2+ hours)
You just bought a new hard drive, but don't want to re-install Windows. We'll copy the entire drive from the old to the new.

Data migration (partial): $50
(Approximate time: 1+ hours)
Transfer only your documents from anywhere to anywhere.

Virus/Spyware/Malware removal: Hourly Rate/$100 max
(Approximate time: 2+ hours)
Get rid of any and all malicious software. Know that you may have to purchase antivirus software to perform this service. We can install one if necessary. Also know that some malware, such as the Sony BMG rootkit, may have permanently damaged your operating system and require a total re-install of Windows. And sometimes, it is just quicker to re-install Windows. Please note: In some rare cases, it will be necessary to completely re-install Windows or return the system to the factory default. These services are listed above. A word of caution: In certain instances, this service must be off-site because remedies may take anywhere from 2 hours to several days.

General tune-up: Hourly Rate
(Approximate time: < 1 hour)
This involves disabling unsafe or unneeded background programs in Windows, deleting residual files and junk from your hard drive, other minor but important tune-ups, download updates to the operating system, and updating drivers.

Comprehensive software service: $125
(Approximate time: 5+ hours)
Combine virus removal, spyware removal, and a tune-up into one package and save. This will get your computer in as close to new condition as possible. And your computer will be safer and more secure.

PC internal and external cleaning: $30
(Approximate time: 1 hour)
Computers collect dust, keyboards collect grit, and monitors collect fingerprints. If too much dust builds up in your computer, it generates more heat. More heat means less stability and shorter life. Or worse, dust can damage your fans so that no air circulates through your computer and destroys your parts. Some Pentium 4's run at 180 degrees or more all the time, at 200 degrees your computer become unstable, 250 degrees parts begins to die. Regular cleaning is a must.

Recycle service: $0 or $10
Computer use toxic metals that you don't want creeping into your groundwater. Recycling is the way to go. We provide this service free of charge except for printers and monitors. Recycling centers charge $10 fee for these big components.

Unfixable discount: (-$20)
Let's be honest, sometimes a problem cannot be fixed. This is especially true of notebooks or if your computer has proprietary non-standard parts. If the replacement part cannot be purchased, how can it be fixed? The only ones who can fix it are the manufacturers. Remember, if we can't find a problem, you don't pay. This discount applies if the problem was found but cannot be fixed.

You have the option to keep any computer components we remove. If you are sure you will not need them any more, we will recycle the parts.

Web page design:
We can create a web page for your personal use or for business. New sites have 5-page minimum. We can acquire a domain name for you (i.e. www.your-company.com) and web hosting company. Once designed, we'll keep your web pages on file and we will update each page for the standard rate per page with no page minimum. For examples of our work, please visit the examples page. All web page are made with the latest standards and written in Adobe ColdFusion or in PHP for database pages. Getting a dot com address and web hosting company is not included.
